Tracey Washington
Founder/Executive Director
Tracey Washington is the Founder and Executive Director of Manasota Reentry Project Inc.
A mother of three, Tracey attended St.Petersburg College and has been an activist with FAMM (Families Against Mandatory Minimums) since 2002. She is currently the Manatee/Sarasota chapter leader for Florida Restoration Rights Coalition, and Second Vice President of The Manatee County NAACP.
As one that has overcome adversity and challenges, as a child of an incarcerated parent……. Tracey felt the need to reach out and become an advocate for children that have incarcerated parents(a population that is so often forgotten.) And returning citizens back to society.
Our volunteers will provide and develop programs, resources, and create the environment that is needed in our community to break the intergenerational cycle of incarceration. Striving to do more work, it is necessary that we continue to place a hand on the cycle of mass incarceration.
